Who We Are

Taleology is a specialty shop offering handcrafted custom pet portraits + accessories for the modern pet parent on a mission to tell 1 million pets stories.

Taleology is an all in-house, one women, production along with her furry supervisors.

Emmas drawings stem from her art style of ink and paper.

Taleology, aka Emma, is committed to partnering with animal rescue and welfare groups through various means. Including monthly donations.

Taleology was founded in 2023 and is a proud partner of the Made in NYC initiative, which celebrates locally-made products.

Emma's passion for her craft is deeply rooted in her family's artistic legacy. Her father was a talented fine artist, and his passing in 2010 inspired Emma to honor his memory by creating her own art and establishing Taleology.

It is estimated across the US, 6.3 million pets are surrendered to shelters each year. On average,1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized every year in the United States. Shelters around the country euthanize an estimated 670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats each year. Many of these animals did not have behavioral or health issues that were a humane euthanization and had to be put down simply because of over crowding.

With each purchase, Taleology pledges to donate a portion of profits to provide food, medical care, and supplies to a local rescue shelter.

a 6 year old eady to show you how to live your *best life.* If you're looking for a hiking buddy, Squiggles encourages you to check out the other Native New Yorkers and he will snag an uber.

Squiggles is approximately 5y 5m 1d old and is fully grown at 66 pounds.

Meet Our Furry Rescues

  • Tommy

    is our adult rescue. We adopted him from Waggytail in NYC at the age of 5. Tommy came with an unknown history but clear trauma in his past.

    He is very trick smart and just wants love. He loves to snuggle in your lap or snack on some cheese.

  • Zipper

    Our newest and final addition to our house. He was recused from North Shore Animal League.

    He had been through a lot of treatments as a kitten but he full of life now and snuggles. His nickname is Chaos, can you guess why?

  • Lucy

    She was adopted from Muddy Paws Rescue in NYC. She was rescued at 6 months and seems to be a mix of lab and pitbull. She is our Goofy Girl.

    She loves to play and meet every dog, human and squirrel (if she was allowed.)
